Hi, I'm Josalyn!
I am a recent University Honors graduate with a major in Psychology and a minor in Business Information Systems at the University of California, Riverside.
With a blend of interests in art, human behavior, and research, I am passionate about devising creative design solutions through a human-centered lens. I look towards innovation consultancy in design with a focus on the edutech industry. My approach focuses not only on accessibility and inclusivity, but also to problem-solve as an empathetic and socially impactful thinker.

After studying abroad at Yonsei University in summer 2022, I was able to connect with many international students, understand other human lifestyle perspectives, and immerse myself in Korean culture.
From the scenic nature views and peaceful shrines to the bustling high-tech cyberpunk-like cities, visiting Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo, Japan this past summer 2024 has been the most wondrous, eye-opening experience.
I had the opportunity to return to South Korea this past summer, revisiting the rich culture, food, and lifestyle I once experienced two summers ago.

Other than design, some of my favorite ways of art expression is through traditional painting, glass painting, digital drawing, and playing the piano :)
When I'm at home, my favorite genres of anime to watch ranges from supernatural action to historical romance to dark fantasy. Some of my current favorites are Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, and Attack on Titan.
A hobby that I picked up recently is playing pickle ball! I find that pickle ball helps me get my daily dose of exercise and build a stronger connection with friends!
